Hope you are encouraging and working with your kids on their projects.

 

Parents that promised/assured me they were interested in teaching, it is time to step up please

We have three great sessions for this week.

 

1.      Chocolate Making-the Science of chocolates, what are they made of, good/bad chocolates, strawberry coated chocolates and more

2.      Physics is fun-learn the joy of Physics & Power of Observation-Parents-please bring loose change-for pendulums experiments

3.      Aerodynamics-all you want to know airplanes—you will build paper planes and fly them too!!

AIS-LM: 2015 Parents Day Project Submission Form

AIS- SAT January 10th

Hello All

 

HOPE you are encouraging your children about a PROJECT to work on for PARENT's DAY.

 

Your children work on a project (can be an experiment, research, read and write down)-should contain a hypothesis, body-describe what you did-and a conclusion and an explanation as to why your conclusion met your assumption or is different.

 

Purpose is to teach them how to put together a presentation-what are assumptions/hypothesis/conclusion etc.

 

A 5 to 7 slide material that they can present to their peer group.

 

Come talk to me if you need ideas. We would like every child to do a project-good for them.

 

 

We have four exciting and wonderful sessions scheduled for this week

 

The topics for Saturday are:

 

1.      Fun with Math/Amazing your friends with Fast Math (and teachers)-Make you all smart and appear like a wizard!!

2.      Pi, Pythagorean theorem and friends -a really fun presentation

3.      Firearms, design and safety Learn about guns, types of guns, what is used where, how to be safe, how dangerous they can be-taught by an expert

4.      Game theory-Art of Negotiating to get what you want-How do you communicate and Convince others-Preferably for 10 year olds

AIS session on Jan 3rd

Hello Hall

 

As you all wind down from the stress, joy and fun of the last two weeks, it is time to kick start the 2^nd half of Adventure in Science.

 

We have three great sessions scheduled (so far-based on responses received. If couple of others respond we may have a fourth session too depending on need)

 

HOPE you are encouraging your children about a PROJECT to work on for PARENT's DAY

 

PLEASE come talk to us if you have more questions.

 

The topics for Saturday are:

 

1.      Math is fun (really it is)-Make you all smart and appear like a wizard!!

2.      The Digestive System-a really great presentation from a practicing Doctor-Where does what you eat go/why/ ad what happens- say to a doughnut if it is eaten!! No consultation fee charged either

3.      PART II-of session on Planets/Gravity/What keeps the Earth moving/Sun & Moon in the sky and more hands on stuff
